HONOLULU (HI Now) – Hui o Ho`ohonua was created by members of the `Ewa community with a mission to address the historical trauma to the land, water, and people in the `Ewa Moku on `Oahu. The development of their mission was motivated by their observations of environmental neglect and pollution in Pearl Harbor (Pu`uloa), as well as the social needs of the people who live in the surrounding moku.
